The Betsy Ross House at 239 Arch Street is a historic Philadelphia landmark believed to have been the home of the noted upholsterer and flag maker from 1776 to 1779. Constructed around 1740, it originally functioned as a busy 18th-century residence and place of business for a tradesperson before later being preserved as a national historic site.
