249 S 36th St, Philadelphia, PA 19104
Constructed between 1871 and 1872, this building was the first erected by the university on its West Philadelphia campus. Designed in a distinctive Victorian Gothic style, it showcases bold architectural polychromy using a variety of local stone. Today, it houses the university’s central administration and offices.
Built in 1874, the second building originally functioned as the University’s Medical Hall before later becoming the home of the Wharton School.
